Iran
Back in the years 2006 and 2007, I managed a company where we decided to set-up an assembly production facility in Teheran, Iran. This meant a few trips to the capital of Iran. I unfortunately did not have time to see anything of this supposedly beautiful country filled with amazing architectural sites. The few shots are from a mobile phone hence the poor quality. There is a trip penciled in my travel-plans hopefully in the not so distant future. My main takeaway from these trips are the hard-working, dedicated and friendly people.

Brunei
I managed to squeeze in a weekend stop-over in Brunei on route to Hong-Kong. The small sultanate on the Island of Borneo where Kalimantan (Indonesia) and East-Malaysia takes up the main part, is worth a visit. Bandar Seri Begwan the capital of this small sultanate is seen in two days as most of it can be covered by walking. I decided to stay an additional day to visit the swamps and Ulu Temburang National Park. This was worthwhile as logging is prohibited in the sultanate and the park is well kept. I also hired a "water-taxi" to go search for the illusive proboscis money. After about 4 hours of cruising up-n-down the water canals, my luck finally turned - as we found a group of the monkeys.
