Iran
Back in the years 2006 and 2007, I managed a company where we decided to set-up an assembly production facility in Teheran, Iran. This meant a few trips to the capital of Iran. I unfortunately did not have time to see anything of this supposedly beautiful country filled with amazing architectural sites. The few shots are from a mobile phone hence the poor quality. There is a trip penciled in my travel-plans hopefully in the not so distant future. My main takeaway from these trips are the hard-working, dedicated and friendly people.

Togo
Coming into Togo overland from Ghana, we managed to cross, the as usual very primitive border-crossing, without too much hassle. In Togo we set our focus on visiting the Voodoo and Fetish market in Lomé. A lot of stuffed animals and Voodoo practitioners at the market. We were of course also invited by a local shaman to his hut for a performance. After this we went on to visit lake Togo (only 1-2 meters deep). We crossed the lake in a felloukah to get to the ancient village of Togoville. Here we were invited again to participate in a Voodoo session. Very interesting in deed. This is very much real and part of their believes.
