Iran
Back in the years 2006 and 2007, I managed a company where we decided to set-up an assembly production facility in Teheran, Iran. This meant a few trips to the capital of Iran. I unfortunately did not have time to see anything of this supposedly beautiful country filled with amazing architectural sites. The few shots are from a mobile phone hence the poor quality. There is a trip penciled in my travel-plans hopefully in the not so distant future. My main takeaway from these trips are the hard-working, dedicated and friendly people.

After only a short planning, for once, I this time took off with my eldest son with the main objective of reaching the highest Waterfall in the world - The Angel Falls. Not the best of times to go to Venezuela possibly with the political turmoil and the many people fleeing the country. On the other hand - you get the country to yourself - without hordes of other tourists. With many changes in the program, not to mention many cancelled domestic flights - distances which had to be taken by car instead, we did finally reach our final goal - The Angel Falls - and it was just as spectacular as I had hoped. 1700 km by car, 75 km by pirogue boats and a couple of hours of hiking - we came to stand just below this amazing waterfall.
