The Gambia as a vacation resort was a little bit of a gamble. Back in the 80-ies this was being marketed as a new charter resort with lots of Scandinavians coming down for vacations. 25 years has passed and Gambia is not as hot as a tourist spot as it once was. Yes, there are a few all-inclusive resorts and a few restaurants to choose from, but the restaurant scene is not much to write home about. Banjul is a sorry old run down typical African capital with a market, but not much else. We covered what there was to see and decided to take few days away and check-out Senegal as well.
