Back in the years 2006 and 2007, I managed a company where we decided to set-up an assembly production facility in Teheran, Iran. This meant a few trips to the capital of Iran. I unfortunately did not have time to see anything of this supposedly beautiful country filled with amazing architectural sites. The few shots are from a mobile phone hence the poor quality. There is a trip penciled in my travel-plans hopefully in the not so distant future. My main takeaway from these trips are the hard-working, dedicated and friendly people.

I was originally booked into Faofao Beach Fales, a relatively simple B&B place on the south coast. This was however cancelled as I lost a couple of days coming to Samoa due to flight schedule changes. I ended up staying at the La Vasa Resort, which was a nice surprise and a good base to use and see the Island. I had actually counted on having to strike Samoa off all together due to flight schedule issues, but managed at least to stop-over here on my way to Fiji and further on to Tuvalu. I have decided already to make a revisit to Samoa as there are many things to do and explore. The two main Islands of Upolo and Savai'i are both worthwhile to visit with amazing blowholes on the cost as well as waterfalls. Ah well, next time then...
With a 4-day stop-over in Karachi, Pakistan, we only got a very short flavor of this bustling mega city. Huge pollution and overcrowded already back in 1990 when we made our short visit. Loved it however, and am now planning to come back for a more thorough visit to this 200 million country. We saw, during our short visit, a traditional cock-fight as well as the traditional fight between the Cobra and the Mungo. Again, these photos are only scanned copies of printed photos - hence the poor quality and slightly faded pictures.
