Back in the years 2006 and 2007, I managed a company where we decided to set-up an assembly production facility in Teheran, Iran. This meant a few trips to the capital of Iran. I unfortunately did not have time to see anything of this supposedly beautiful country filled with amazing architectural sites. The few shots are from a mobile phone hence the poor quality. There is a trip penciled in my travel-plans hopefully in the not so distant future. My main takeaway from these trips are the hard-working, dedicated and friendly people.

Having planned to go to Libya for over 2 years, we finally made it. This isn't one of the easier countries to visit at the moment - especially since you have to be invited and travel on a business visa only. No tourist visas are issued since 2011 in connection to Moammar Khadaffi being captured and killed. It is also important to follow the security instructions and make sure you have a connection locally who can ensure your safety at all times. We felt very much this was achieved with our organizer. There are still many places and areas which are off-limit to visit, but we managed to cover some of the more important sites such as; Jebel Nafusa mountain area with the Berber settlements, the Sabratha and Leptis Magna Roman sites to the west and east of Tripoli, but to mention some of the sites visited.
