Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea (PNG) and the Mount Hagen Festival in 2022. I had planned for this trip since 2016, but could not go back then. This time around the country had just recently opened up after the Pandemic. This was the first Mount Hagen Festival for three years. It was not back in full, but enough for us few tourists who had ventured back again. The most spectacular and interesting visit was the one organised to a village, who had not ever before received a group of tourists. Not that they were completely secluded, but still. They had planned and prepared for over three weeks prior to our arrival. They had dressed up the different sub-groups of the tribe in different costumes. This felt very genuine in deed.
