Sao Tomé & Principe

My favorite of the three countries visited on this trip (see travel report to the right). So Tomé is however not on many flight routes, which means there are very few tourists finding their way here. This is unfortunate as there are some lovely beaches, relatively good food and cheap accommodation. The country, a former Portuguese colony, with Coffee, cacao and sugarcane production, has today very little of this up-n-running since the country became independent back in 1975. No money, initiative nor educated people with the drive to develop this pearl. Visit while it is still untouched - highly recommended.
