After a stop-over and meetings in Casablanca, Morocco, I continued to Tunis, Tunisia. This was still a few years before the "Arabic spring", but you could sense something was going on when talking to people and walking around. Here I felt there where a lot more genuine restaurants to choose from such as Slah and Jeld both located near Hotel Africa on Rue de Coubertin. The Kasbah, the old souk, felt genuine and worth while to visit as well. I stayed smack in the centre of the old souk at a an old Riad.
