Iran
Back in the years 2006 and 2007, I managed a company where we decided to set-up an assembly production facility in Teheran, Iran. This meant a few trips to the capital of Iran. I unfortunately did not have time to see anything of this supposedly beautiful country filled with amazing architectural sites. The few shots are from a mobile phone hence the poor quality. There is a trip penciled in my travel-plans hopefully in the not so distant future. My main takeaway from these trips are the hard-working, dedicated and friendly people.

Faroe Islands
Faroe Islands - wasn't really planned for this year, but with the Pandemic and numerous cancelled plans to other countries, Faroe Island came up as an alternative. We were also inspired by various friends who had been earlier this summer. We did not want to travel too far into the fall, savouring the summer and hopefully some good weather. We were actually very lucky with the weather appart from missing out on a day-trip out to Mikenos Island where the Puffins are to be found (a real shame to have missed this) we saw most of the Islands as we criss-crossed all over. There are some very beautiful sceneries to be had. Most places are accessible thanks to an extensive tunnel-net-work between most of the islands. Torshavn is lovely with all its 16th century old buildings still intact. Most of which can be seen just by walking around. There are many restaurants to choose from, but be prepared to book ahead. Also, be prepared to bring the larger wallet. Everything is exceedingly expensive here.
