An almost 3-week tour with the whole family to this endemic and mystical island - fourth largest island in the world. We were extremely fortunate with the weather, which usually can cause some difficulties with heavy rainfalls during the Christmas period. We covered some1300 km on "African roads" which means the pot-holes are big enough to hide cows in them. We managed to visit some five National Parks and were very lucky to see a great variety of the endemic wildlife, flora and fauna. This is one of the poorest countries in the world, where people get by under 1 dollar a day per person.
