Back in the years 2006 and 2007, I managed a company where we decided to set-up an assembly production facility in Teheran, Iran. This meant a few trips to the capital of Iran. I unfortunately did not have time to see anything of this supposedly beautiful country filled with amazing architectural sites. The few shots are from a mobile phone hence the poor quality. There is a trip penciled in my travel-plans hopefully in the not so distant future. My main takeaway from these trips are the hard-working, dedicated and friendly people.

Russia
First visit to Russia was during the Soviet Union era back in 1981 in connection to a trip around the world. We traveled overland on the trans Siberian railway from Moscow to Nachodka on the east cost. It took us some 8-9 days in total at the time. Very few photos were taken during this part unfortunately. A few can be found during the "Around the world" section (Oceania). The second visit was a back in 1986 when we concentrated on St. Petersburg - then still called Leningrad. I have since been back and forth in connection to business trips, but no pictures during these visits.
I keep this section open as I plan to do some specific trips to Russia in the near future.
